Traveling Belly

We are about halfway through our summer vacation, which feels more like our first vacation WITH the baby than our last vacation without her, since her presence has affected the trip in so many ways: limiting the amount of time we can drive in a day, cutting out camping, and all kinds of other measures to bring our usual wilderness-trekking, National Park-focused vacations into the reach of a lady who is eight months pregnant!

We visited Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park in inland central California where we saw the worlds largest living thing (a Sequoia tree named General Sherman.) Then we headed north into Oregon (with a comfort stop along the way) to Crater Lake, the deepest lake in the US with some of the cleanest air and clearest water in the world!

Now we are in Portland, OR spending time with Adam and Kathy!

  1. Hi Melissa...this is cousin Rhonda! janet just sent me this website. It's great, I feel like I am caught up now.
I do Birth Certificates in Fort Worth and see a whole bunch of names. I think in the last few years I have only seen a couple of Adalaide's and no Monroe's for girls. They are both adorable. Looking forward to seeing you soon!
