Eben took Monroe across the threshold into our apartment.
It was an extremely hot day for Santa Monica and our place was in the upper 80's. We were all somewhat uncomfortable but Monroe LOVED it. She settled into an incredibly relaxed mode which has largely stuck with her ever since we escaped the chilly hospital. The girl loves to be warm and snuggly!
Monroe woke up after a few hours ready for a little "tummy time" which is her baby version of going to the gym--a chance to stretch a different set of muscles since she sleeps on her back. In the second part of the movie at the end of this post, you can see her demonstrate her ability to pick her head up and turn to the other side. Quite a neck on that girl!

I hereby announce the formation of the Monroe Mae Cook Fan Club, with her maternal grandfather as the charter member! Of course, since her mom, dad, and grandmother were actually there first, I am probably only the fourth charter member, but I do love that girl! Thanks for the beautiful photos and video.
