We found this adorable baby-sized picnic table in the alleyway--some other family was done with it so it came to live with us! We got out Monroe's little picnic set (thanks Aunt Arla) and Aunt Naomi showed her how to set the table.
This little table has really brought out Monroe's ability to imitate what she sees around her. Check out her wiping up around the dishes and wiping off her shirt--just like Mommy does every night after dinner!
This is the cutest little domestic engineer on the planet! She is so focused on what she is doing, and she is moving around so well! We look forward to seeing you all again.

ReplyDeleteWhen my son Craig was 4, I stood him up on a stepstool and had him help me do dishes. I would invariably throw a dry rag over my left shoulder to dry something after it had sat in the drainer a bit. So when Craig got up to help Dad, the first thing he did was to get another dry rag and throw it over his shoulder, too. One of my dearest memories.
