Isabella "the baby"

On Saturday Monroe had a blast playing with Isabella, the kiddo of some friends of a friend who we met at a birthday brunch. The girls were almost EXACTLY the same age and they really "clicked." Isabella reached out first, shouting "baby!" and immediately hugging and kissing Monroe and then trying to feed her anything she could get her hands on, including a slice of lemon. Monroe took all this in for a while, and then when she warmed up she charmed Isabella with her extensive vocabulary & climbing chops. The girls had a blast going up and down some stairs with their dads.

Since brunch, anytime we mention Isabella Monroe bursts out saying "baby! Baby!" as she fondly remembers her friend.
