Tonight during dinner I asked Monroe about her day and she said her first sentence. It was "Max push Monroe. Noooo!!!"
She talked off and on for the rest of the night about her and her favorite friend (or frenemy?) Max pushing each other (it was hard to tell exactly who was doing what as she jumbled words when repeating her story.) Her description was punctuated with several emphatic NOs.
I love that she can actually represent in words something neither of us were there to see. She is truly leveraging the purpose of language.
