my heart is melting
This morning Monroe said, "I love you" for the first time in her life--"I love you mommy" in fact. That makes today a perfect day, no matter what else happens.
"Bathe" in it! An older friend of mine used to say, "When your children are small, they walk on your feet. When they are older, they step on your heart." God willing, that won't happen, but glory in it now. It's wonderful to hear your child, no matter the age, say "I love you." A Scripture verse says, "We love Him because He first loved us." I think that's probably true of Monroe, too.
And I am smiling just thinking about it!
