We rounded out the lovely weekend with a little time up in the mountains since we'd done the ocean/beach thing earlier. We were headed all the way for the Angeles Crest range, but we were thwarted by the burn areas from last year's tragic Station Fire--many of our favorite hikes are still closed. So we went adventuring and found a pocket of nature in the middle of urban LA, complete with graffiti on some of the rocks.
It was a riot of wildflowers!
We packed some of the season's best strawberries for refreshment.
