Preschool is around the corner!

Over the past few weeks, Monroe has made 3 visits to her new preschool. Today, we had a practice lunch with her teachers and the outgoing class of Room 3. She is so beyond ready to join the classroom--she immediately fell into line with the other kids and marched right out to the playground for a picnic lunch. She opened all her own containers and ate with the big kids. It was great!

This is Monroe in line with all the other kids.
She's the one with her lunch in a clear plastic backpack (thanks again Aunt Mary & Uncle Paul!)

Big girls carry their own lunches.
At Mount Olive, the kids need to be able to open and close all their own containers and eat their lunch easily with the spoon and fork provided by the preschool. So this was a practice lunch for mommy as well--Monroe had quinoa, kidney beans, green peas and apple slices. Monroe was a great sport about her new lunchtime independence, but one container was too tricky for her to open and another cracked in her hand! Shopping time for me. :-)

Preschool begins September 9 and the entire family can't wait!!!
