Christmas Calendar: 5

Today's advent activity was ice skating in downtown Santa Monica. It was actually chilly (for us) with overcast skies and temperatures in the lower sixties today, and a light dusting of raindrops all but cleared the rink for us just before we began our skate. This just made the hot chocolate we enjoyed after our skate all the more cozy. (Although I must admit that there is something amazing, surreal, and oh-so-LA about skating along under palm trees in the kind of sunny 70 degree weather we often get in January!)

This was a mommy-daughter solo outing and I am proud to report that I did manage to keep us both upright the whole time!

Monroe started by watching the grownups in the big rink.

Two size 8s, one grown up and one toddler.

This is her victory face after a few successful laps with Mommy.
