I know I already posted nursery photos, but those were really only from two points of view, so they didn't show every last corner of the room... which I am sure is what you're looking for--preferably in endless detail, right? Okay, perhaps I'm getting a little obsessed.

Anyway, if you'll humor me by taking a look, you'll see I'm trying to "put you there" by creating weird composite photos stitched together from multiple snapshots. The first one is pretty much stuff that has already been posted. The next one (moving counterclockwise around the room) shows the second-hand rocker & shelves we re-finished in white. The last one (still going counterclockwise and catching back up to the first pic) shows a storage cabinet which I painted three mural panels for.

an octopus' garden

Here are those pictures of the nursery I promised! There are still a few details that we're putting in order, but you can pretty much see how it turned out.

two little critters that live here: a knitted shrimp and a tiny super soft octopus

more of the nursery

The crib is angled a bit so that it comes off the wall. And you can see here how there are two different colors of ocean blue paint on the wall, defined by a wavy pattern. Sea creatures are all around...

crabs invading the crib

Don't worry concerned viewers, you don't have to rush to tell us we're not supposed to use the crib bumpers, etc. They are just there to entertain me as we await the baby's arrial--besides, the baby has a bassinet in our room for the very beginning anyway so it may be a while before she uses the crib!

A baby's eye view of the fish mobile hanging over the changing table.

We're still working on the rocker (a freebie we're painting white to match some second-hand shelves we're also painting white) and there are a few more things I didn't manage to photograph, but this pretty much shows the "vibe." It's our favorite room in the house!! :)

"Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery"

This was my 35th week of being pregnant, and I was struck over an over again as we worked on the nursery with the fact that I've reached the "please allow 4 to 6 weeks for delivery" phase of this pregnancy! The baby could be here sooner than a catalogue order! :)

Let's just hope she doesn't take after her nursery furniture, which we finally got this week after several mistakes and mishaps at the store which created a nearly two month delay!

Here's Eben doing his daddy duty and assembling the crib:

And here he is trying to get a "baby's eye view" of the progress on the room:
