Venice Canals Holiday Boat Parade

The Venice Canals Holiday boat parade is a favorite LA Christmas tradition and this year we actually got to help out with a boat! Our good friends Chris and Gina created a Muppet's Christmas Carol themed boat and Eben used a 3-D program to help them plan their Dickensian village. Saturday we helped build the boat and Sunday they threw a party for a bunch of us to come watch the whole boat parade. They did an amazing job on their float!

Chris and Gina's float:

Here's Rizzo and his gang of rats skating in the village. Eben painted that building!

Monroe had a great time with the whole thing. In the first picture below, she's taking a disco nap in her daddy's arms so she can muster up the energy to go watch the parade. Next, you see her front-row seat!

This video shows our beloved Muppets boat in action and some of the crazy-ness of the annual boat parade:

  2. Well.... everyone's life looks fun in blog format. You know what I mean--we don't tend to cover Monroe's allergies, or the ever-changing consistency of her diaper's contents, or the rest of life's many hassles.

But we do have lots of fun!!!
