Friday night we strolled down to Montana Avenue's annual holiday night. (Montana is a street of boutiques and restraunts 2 blocks from our place.) All the shops were open late passing out cider and holiday treats. There were musicians every block or so. We saw a three-piece classical group, some carollers, and the Santa Monica Hich School Philharmonic. Monroe LOVED taking in the sights and sounds--and she slept seven straight hours after all that excitement!!
Saturday was our annual Saint Nicholas festival at church. There was a breakfast buffet and lots of arts and crafts for kiddos. Eben had altar guild, so we all went up to St. A's so that he could work and Monroe and I could enjoy St. Nick's visit. It was naptime, so I walked Monroe around in her chest carrier long enough to put her to sleep, then had coffee and visited with all the other church folks who were there while she snoozed away. Monroe woke up just in time to get nursed and changed before the very end of the event. What a party animal! :-)
Monroe slept right through her first visit from St. Nick:
Afterwards, Eben took on the baby wearing duties for a few quick errands on foot. Don't they make a stylish pair?
Now we're off to the Castle on the Green Holiday tour in Pasadena. It's a holiday tour of some hotels from the 1900's when Pasadena was the last stop on the transcontinental railroad and quite the posh snowbird destination. It's a perfect Monroe activity because she loves being carried around to look at stuff!

You all look great! Glad you are enjoying getting out and about.
