Monroe's new (as of two days ago) hobby is carrying her purse. It's a beat-up bag we got from goodwill for a project Eben was planning, but it has become hers now. She LOVES to hang it on her arm and toddle around, even though it causes her to be a bit off balance. The purse has been to church, out to eat, over to friend's houses, and all around our own house.
What is inside the purse? Good question. Contents fluctuate, but a current inventory reveals one empty wallet donated by mommy, Daddy's missing toothbrush, and the Big Bad Wolf figure from her Three Little Pigs story set. 'Cuz really, what else could a girl need?
BUT---does she have any money?

ReplyDeleteImprinting is fascinating to watch as is their sponge-like learning process. Albert Bandura called it observational learning. As for the words, children at her age know about 50 words but can't speak them yet (Menyuk, 1995). And on top of that, girls learn words much faster than boys.
It is so cool to watch them think. You can actually see the process. I remember watching my sons figure things out. Made me feel like a dad.
Lucky you two.
