The current fridge decoration

You can tell the new preschool parents by how excited they are about each and every precious work of art their child brings home. I am sure that eventually we'll be quietly disposing of these treasures... otherwise we'll need an addition to our apartment just to store Monroe's artwork!

But for now, each and every one gets fanfare. This was my favorite from last week. I love the moody dark colors which have been layered over the very bright base, it gives it a glowing-from-within quality. Honestly, I love the unconscious artistry of young children's compositions even when it is not my kid, so of course I am a sucker for Monroe's paintings!
